Industrial Wastewater System


McCue offers standard containerized water treatment units for the treatment and removal of common water contaminants. Some of these contaminants include, but are not limited to, Selenium, Sulphate, Metals and Suspended Solids. In addition, McCue offers containerized units for the control and reduction of High pH in water.

One of our industrial wastewater treatment projects was featured on page 30 in the 2013 Spring Edition of the Canadian Mining Magazine.

 

Selenium Removal

Selenium is often present in the minerals extracted in mining operations and it can leach into the mine contact water from waste rock piles. It is also found in wastewater from other industries such as crude-oil refineries. Its toxicity at high concentrations makes it a contaminant of concern, and it must be removed from the contaminated water before it reaches surface water or groundwater. McCue offers standard containerized units that assist in the treatment and removal of Selenium from water and wastewater.

Sulphate Removal

Weathering of exposed sulfide minerals can lead to sulphate contamination in water. Sulphate is considered a parameter of concern because of its aesthetic impact in water and must be maintained below certain limit concentrations. McCue offers different sulphate treatment solutions depending on water quality, quantity, and site requirements; examples of these are chemical precipitation, membrane technologies (reverse osmosis, nanofiltration), and ion exchange.

Metals Removal

Metals and dissolved metals are common contaminants is groundwater and wastewater. McCue offers containerized systems for treatment and removal of dissolved and total metals from water and wastewater.

The standard system is capable of multi step chemical precipitation and incorporates enhanced settling and filtration processes.

Metals Removal Systems can also be constructed in place on site. The system can also be readily integrated with equipment for treatment of other contaminants, such as suspended solids and pH control.

Suspended Solids Removal & pH Control

McCue offers containerized systems for removing suspended solids and controlling pH in water and wastewater. The standard system employs chemical flocculation and enhanced settling and filtration processes.

pH is lowered without the use of acids to control cost and health and safety risk. pH is raised chemically using a variety of chemically safe products. Systems can also be constructed in place on site.

The system is readily integrated with equipment for treatment of other contaminants, such as metals and heavy metals removal.

High pH Control Systems

McCue offers standard automated pH control systems for reducing high pH in water. High pH water commonly occurs in industries involved in concrete work. The system is suitable for any water stream with high pH.

The system can be delivered on a welded steel skid, containerized or installed in an existing structure on site. The system doesn’t use acid to eliminate overdosing and lower Health & Safety risk.

The system is readily integrated with equipment to treat other water contaminants.
