Municipal Water & Wastewater

McCue offers containerized water treatment units for Municipal Water & Wastewater, work camps and small to medium sized communities. These containerized units include potable water systems and sewage treatment systems that employ Membrane Bioreactors.

Potable Water Packaged Systems

McCue offers containerized potable water systems for work camps and small to medium sized communities. McCue’s standard system employs chemical precipitation and multi media filtration prior to a 2-step disinfection process.

The benefits of this process over reverse osmosis (“RO”) are that less liquid waste is generated and it costs less. McCue employs RO only in applications that warrant it.

The system is available in a range of flow rates to meet the capacity of your work camp or community. Contact us for more details.

Applications for Potable Water Systems include:

  • Mining Camps
  • Oil & Gas Camps
  • Construction Camps
  • Municipal

Potable Water System: Project Example

Retained by the Village of Prelate, Saskatchewan, McCue performed upgrades to an aging potable water treatment plant to serve as a primary source of potable water for a community of approximately 125 people.

McCue’s scope of work included the following:

  • Review of mechanical and electrical design.
  • Supply and delivery of all equipment to be installed, with an understanding that resources within the village were limited.
  • Refurbishment of existing infrastructure, where possible.
  • Performance of construction work with minimal interruption to the community’s water supply.
  • Testing and commissioning of the system.
  • Performance of all work within a tightly fixed budget.

Scope was achieved and ensured the success of the project for all stakeholders. McCue worked closely with village staff and members of the community to ensure project reached completion efficiently and effectively without interruption to the community’s day-to-day operations.

More details about this project can be found  here.

Membrane Bioreactor (MBR)

McCue offers containerized sewage treatment systems for work camps and small to medium sized communities. McCue’s standard system employs a Membrane Bioreactor (“MBR”), but other options are available. These pre-packaged systems are modular and easily deployed.

These systems designed by professional engineers listed as authorized persons under the BC Sewerage System Regulation for systems less than 27.5 m3/day. We have also worked extensively under the Municipal Wastewater Regulation on systems over 27 m3/day.
